Whew! 2011 was a big year! A lot happened around here including the birth of my own little baby girl, Holland!

So I'd say celebrations are in order! So in honor of all super cute babies and an awesome new year ahead...

Here's how it works

Step 1:

Submit a photo of your baby via email to me @ calmarkus129@gmail.com by JANUARY 8th, 2012.

Step 2:

By January 10th, all photos will be posted to an album entitled "cutest baby ever photo contest" on the Callie Mae Photography facebook page

Step 3:

"Like" the Callie Mae Photography facebook page, then "like" the picture of the baby you think should win! Whichever baby photo receives the most "likes" by January 15th, 2012 @11:59pm will be the winner! The winner (whomever submitted the photo) will receive

a family session includes:

• 1 to 1.5 hour photo session

• 25-30 professionally edited photos

• Edited images 8x10 or smaller on disc

• Release of Copyright

Remember photos must be submitted by January 8th and voting ends January 15th! Also remember you must like the Callie Mae Photography Facebook page in order to vote for the picture. So tell all your family and friends and ask them to vote for your cute baby! Good luck!

I did this session back in August for Jenica to give to her husband for their 1 year anniversary. I thought it was such a great idea, I mean whose husband doesn't want some beautiful pictures of their wife, right? Jenica looked lovely and we had such a blast taking them.

Its official! I'm booked for the remainder of my 2011 season. Only 4 weeks until my baby girl is due, crazy stuff! Discs are about 2 weeks out so I will email you as soon as they are ready. I am now booking for 2012. Lots will be happening between now and then though. I'm planning a few promotions, and a session giveaway as well! Stay tuned. Here are just a few from last night. Here are a few maternity pictures of yours truly. For enjoying taking pictures as much as I do, I am really uncomfortable in front of the camera. So the idea of having my photo taken at 8 months pregnant plus my already awkwardness in front of the camera really freaked me out. But I had a few things to help me. I went all out for this shoot having my hair and make-up done by an INCREDIBLE local stylist, Jenica (this beautiful girl here). She primped and pampered me making me feel a lot more confident. Girls, I HIGHLY recommend this. Whether its bridals, family photo shoot, senior photos, engagements, etc. it is the boost of confidence and the extra polish you need for the photos you will have for a lifetime.

What a sweet couple Tyler and Rylee are! I had so many candid shots of them just lovin on each other and I....love them so much!. Despite this frigid morning...so cold I couldn't feel my hands...these shots turned out warm and lovely. I'm very happy for them and their new adventure together. I absolutely love weddings. Its the most magical, romantic, happy time and I love capturing those moments. Congratulations Rylee and Tyler.

Mmm I love these! I love the blue watch worn by Ashton's Daddy, such a great idea. We had a lot of fun at this shoot, they even busted out a heat lamp to keep little Ashton warm for the diaper shots! It was around 100 degrees indoors but that was one warm baby!Haha. They also both had a ton of creative ideas (being the super creative couple that they are) which I loved! These 2 love each other and their new baby, I'm so happy for them! Enjoy!

I was lucky enough to get to shoot my cousin Stacy's one of a kind reception. It was 1920's themed with everything from flapper outfits to feathers! The details were gorgeous and I couldn't resist just posting a few. I loved that Stacy made everything about her wedding totally her style. There were photo booths, Italian soda's, and big band music making the experience very original and simply lovely! Congrats BJ and Stacy!

Oh she is lovely! And she will pop some little guy or girl out any day now...or any hour for that matter! I'm so excited for her. We had a lot of fun shooting these with the beautiful spring weather and sunshine. The light created a beautiful blow out effect I thought made the pictures seem "heavenly", and we had a lot of fun trying out some new locations. Kaycee is one of the funniest girls I know and has me laughing my guts out most always. And she is STUNNING!! Drop dead gorgeous. I can't wait to see her little one!

ps I am hatin on my uploader... the images aren't as sharp and the color is weird. I'll work it out. Don't worry :)

Almost Spring??

This time of year can be frustrating. I'm suffering from a lack of sun and a lack of color in the world. I can't wait to see the green again! I'm ready for some springtime! But there is beauty to be found all times of the year! I took these forever and a day ago before Christmas and am just now getting the chance to put them up. They turned out beautifully despite the coldness. This little man's darling hat was well...darling. I love this family and I loved being able to capture this phase of their lives. They were so fun and natural in front of the camera which was great. Enjoy and don't fret...spring is just around the corner, right??

Groomals: Bridals done with the groom done before the wedding day. I HIGHLY recommend this. Very stress free if you can deal with the whole seeing the dress before the wedding day.
These were a lot of fun and we came out with some good ones despite the yucky weather :) I was loving the yellow fruit tree we found by the side of the road. Beautiful color.

I have a lot of clients for family photos asking for suggestions on what they should wear and this is is perfect example of a great wardrobe for pictures. They coordinate and fit the family's style, perfect!! And this family is goregous! This little girl is going to be a little heart breaker one day, she is so so cute! We had a lot of fun.
